Reunited after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, Germany has become one of the world's foremost economic, technological and political powerhouses. As an important member of the European Union, Germany uses the Euro as its currency. The people are very fond of sports, and the country plays host to soccer's World Cup in the summer of 2006.
Germany is also home to a large immigrant population, particularly from Turkey. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rhineland or the hubbub of Munich and Berlin, experience all that Germany has to offer through a homestay experience!
Academic Programs Include
Semester, year-long, and short-term (1-3 month) programs are available. U.S. students attend German Gymnasium, which are like college preparatory high schools. Two years of previous German language study is required. Basic academic courses are available and sporting activities take place at school. Clubs and other activities are outside of school, some even available on Saturdays. Our German host families live throughout the country. Tutoring is also available.
